West Coast India Pale Ale

the latest of our Freestyle IPAs, which is where we test out new hops, techniques, and recipe concepts on the fly. we riffed on our award-winning pale ale Hello My Alien with this one, reimagining it as a New Zealand IPA (higher ABV, higher BU) and giving the experimental hop NZ 106 center stage. for the nerds out there, we also wanted to play with our boil pH in this one, testing the theory that a lower wort pH in the boil creates a cleaner bitterness, while seeing how that would show in a beer with a high amount of the hop impact coming from concentrated pellets and flowable hop products.
