Coldest Beer in Town
Lager! We’ve long enjoyed making lagers at Breakside. These beers are universally loved by our brewers, and for good reason: they are refreshing, smooth, drinkable, clean, and complex. We’re excited to see that our customers are enjoying these styles more and more each year.
For the first months of 2026, we’re bringing back an old favorite for the first time since 2019! Coldest Beer in Town is our take on a classic Mexican-style amber or copper lager. To make this beer, we looked to the history of brewing in Mexico, where Austrian- and German-immigrant brewers brought continental lagers from Vienna and elsewhere to the New World. Over time these beers morphed into the lighter, easy-drinking Mexican lagers we know and love today. We think this beer pulls from the best of both of those traditions.
Coldest Beer in Town gets its toasty, cereal-like malt profile from historical Vienna Lagers. The finish and body are squarely rooted in modern brewing: this beer is light on the palate and dry in the finish. This makes it extra drinkable and refreshing, and it’s one of our most food-friendly offerings.
