Disco Overload

We are thrilled to release this new collab IPA that we dreamed up with our friends at Radiant Beer. Radiant makes world-class beer across a huge range of styles, and their IPAs are aromat-ic, punchy, and dry. Their founder and brewmaster Andrew Bell is a true flavor wizard. He has masterminded some of the most experimental culinary beers and beverages we’ve ever tasted, and he brings that same precision and expert palate to Radiant’s hoppy beers. He and our brewmaster Ben became friends over the years sharing many memorable meals, cocktails, and beers together across the country. Now that they are sending more beer to Oregon and we are sending more beer to southern California, we figured the time was ripe to make a beer together.

The time was so ripe that we actually made TWO beers together! Radiant brewed one, and we brewed the other. They are flip-sides of the same coin: theirs is a double IPA and ours a classic

“West Coast single.” We used the same hop bills with slight tweaks and took cues from each other’s preferred processes and tricks. One thing we learned is that both of our breweries have a soft spot for Cashmere, an unsung hero of the hop world. Cashmere throws fun notes of melon, albarino grapes, almond cream and Hawaiian punch, and we use it predominantly in our year-round hazy IPA What Rough Beast. Here, we thought it would be fun to feature it in a modern West Coast IPA and pair it with some of the punchiest aroma varietals that we have.

Mosaic and Simcoe bring their classic one-two punch of tropical fruit, citrus, and dank notes to the party, and Krush adds top notes of lime, guava, and under ripe peach. Cheers!
